Dan teaches you how to make Cowboy Cornbread Cupcakes! Saddle up, and make these with your friends!
Ingredients
1 Pack of bacon
1 steak of your choice
Cornbread
2 Cups of flour
1 Cup of cornbread
6 Tbsp melted butterm
1 Tbsp baking power
2/3 Cup of sugar
1 Tbsp salt
2 Eggs
2 Cups of milk
Cowboy butter
1 Cup of butter
2 Tbsp lemon
2 Tbsp minced garlic
1 Diced shallot
2 Tbsp dijon mustard
1 Tbsp horse radish
1/2 Tsp paprika
2 Tbsp chopped parsley
1 Tbsp green onion
2 Tbsp minced thyme
Season with salt and pepper
2 Tbsp bacon grease
Tools
1 Chef knife
1 Cutting board
2 Frying pans
1 Wooden spoon
1 Cupcake tray
2 Mixing bowls
1 Small sauce pan
Step 1
Cut bacon and steak into bits and cook in frying pans on medium heat for 10 to 15 mintues until both meats are cooked. Chef tip save some bacon grease.
Step 2
In a mixing bowl add 2 Cups of flour, 1 Cup of cornmeal, 6 Tbsp melted butter,
1 Tbsp baking power, 2/3 Cups of sugar, 1 Tbsp salt, 2 Eggs, 2 Cups of milk then mix well until smooth if batter is to thick add some more milk to thin it out.
Step 3
Mix bacon bits into cornbread mixture then grease a cupcake tray and pour in batter then place pieces of steak on top. Bake in the oven at 400 degrees Fahrenheit for 25 to 30 minutes.
Step 4
In a small sauce pan melt 1 cup of butter then add 2 Tbsp lemon, 2 Tbsp minced garlic,1 Diced shallot, 2 Tbsp dijon mustard, 1 Tbsp horse radish, 1/2 Tsp paprika, 2 Tbsp chopped parsley, 1 Tbsp green onion, 2 Tbsp minced thyme, 2 Tbsp bacon grease and Season with salt and pepper.
Step 5
Once cornbread is ready brush on cowboy butter and save the rest of the sauce for dipping.
