Ingredients to Make Red Velvet Cake Recipe
21/3 cups All Purpose Flour
1/3 cup corn Flour
1 tsp Baking Soda
1.5 cups Sugar
110g soft unsalted Butter
1 cup Buttermilk at room temperature
3/4 cup canola Oil
1 tsp Vinegar
1 tbsp vanilla extract
2 Eggs
2.5 tbsp cocoa powder
1 tsp Salt
2.5 tbsp red food colour
For frosting
450g Cream cheese room temperature
110g soft Butter
2 cups icing Sugar (adjust)
2 tbsp Cream
1 tsp Vanilla extract
Preparation method: Steps to Make Red Velvet Cake Recipe
Step 1- Mix flours and sieve 4-5 times , sieve cocoa, baking soda and salt,mix dry ingredients well and keep it aside
Step 2- Prepare baking pan.use 2 small round pans or big round pan
Step 3- Preheat oven to 180
Step 4- In a bowl add butter and sugar, blend until creamy
Step 5- Add eggs, 1 at a time and beat until pale and frothy, add buttermilk and blend well
Step 6- Add oil and blend, add vinegar and vanilla extract. Blend well
Step 7- Slowly incorporate flour and blend, add red food coloring and fold in well
Step 8- Pour the batter to cake pan and tap gently, bake for 30-40 minutes until done
Step 9- Allow cake to cool for 15 minutes, de-mould and allow to cool completely, slice cake in 2 halves
Step 10- Blend cream cheese butter until smooth, Add icing sugar, vanilla extract with cream to form peaks
Step 11- Flatten cake layers and reserve cake crumbs for decoration, Apply frosting on top of first cake
Step 12- Now place second cake half on top and frost again , Once one layer is completed, chill for 15 minutes
Step 13- Now do final frosting and decorate as desired, Apply cake crumbs on top and sides
Cut and serve
