How to make Tuna in a vol-au-vent Pastry | Mumtaz Hasham | Ramadhan Recipe

This is French Puff Pastry, which I used to get ready made many many years ago, kids enjoyed them as they were growing up especially in Ramadhan. This recipe I made the vol-au-vent using store bought roll pastry. Its very tasty, we have always had them using Tuna from the can. You can make with chicken, veggies or shredded meat. Choice is yours.

INGREDIENTS:
1 Box store bought Pastry rolls OR vol-au-vent ready made pastry if available
3 sprigs onions chopped
1/2 tsp salt as Tuna has salt
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
1/2 tsp red chilli powder
1/2 tsp garam masala
1 tsp mustard seeds
1 can tun in water
1 tbsp oil
3 tsp lemon juice
1/4 cup sweet red peppers (optional)
1 tsp finely chopped green chillies

To make Tuna Mixture:

Put oil in the pan on medium high heat, when oil is hot add mustard seeds once it crackles add green onions and saute for 1 minute, then add salt, turmeric, red chilli powder and cook for 1 minute. Add tuna and mix well and cook for another mintue, then add garam masala and mix, add lemon juice, chopped coriander leaves and red sweet peppers. Mix all well, switch off heat and let it cool completely.
