Mardi Gras Pound Cake

Happy Mardi Gras everyone! Instead of a real king cake I decided to make this delicious pound cake recipe. It came from a Louisiana cooking magazine. I hope you enjoy this recipe and video it was a lot of fun to bake and decorate. Here are the ingredients I used.
1 1/2 cups butter, softened
2 1/4 cups plus 1/3 sugar divided
2 1/2 tsps vanilla extract divided
3 1/4 cups plus 2 tbsp flour divided
1 tsp kosher salt
1 cup plus 2 tbsp sour cream divided
4 ounces cream cheese, softened
1 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
1/8 tsp nutmeg
SUGAR GLAZE:
2 cups confectioners’ sugar
2 to 3 tbsp milk or heavy cream
1 tsp fresh lemon juice
1 tsp vanilla extract
If you have any questions about the recipe or anything else please feel free to leave a comment. My cream cheese swirl did not stay in the middle because I didn’t add enough flour because I added extra sour cream. If you follow the exact list of ingredients yours should come out in the middle. But the cake came out well and was really a good pound cake. I would invite you to subscribe for more delicious recipes and I would appreciate it very much. I cannot thank you enough for watching! Have a great day!
