Hello guys welcome back, Today I am sharing with you a tunisian pastry recipe called kaak warka, is stuffed with almond paste.

I am going to share with you the recipe using 1 kg of flour, and also the ingredients for 250gr of flour if you want to do a small amout (20-22 kaak)

Ingredients

1- 1Kg Flour (Special Kaak)
2- 450g Clarified Butter ( if you dont want to make it yourself you can use this one )
3- 500g Almond flour ( I used this one )
4- 150g Powdered sugar
5- 4 tbsp Rose water
Preparation:

1- Prepare the dough: mix the flour with the melted butter and keep kneading and adding warm water till you get a consistent dough. Let it rest for 4 hours.

2- Prepare the almond stuffing: mix the powdered almond and the powdered sugar by hand adding the rose water little by little till you have a consistent mix.

3- Wrap the Kaak warka: cut the dough in 6*12 cm rectangles. Put the almond stuffing in the middle and wrap by the dough. Join the two ends to form a ring. Smooth the ring shape by hands.

4- Bake at 350F for 20 minutes

THE INGREDIENTS I USED IN THE VIDEO

♦ 250g all purpose flour
♦ 1/2 generous tsp white food coloring :
♦ 1/8 tsp salt
♦ 110g clarified butter ( if you dont want to make it yourself you can use this one )
♦ 150g almond flour( I used this one )
♦ 70g Powdered sugar
♦ 2 tbsp Rose water
