I remember that Southern Living issue. My grandmother made the Hummingbird Cake from that recipe and it continues to be a family tradition at Thanksgiving and Christmas every year.
I live in tte UK and every year my daughter chooses the birthday cake she would like me to bake and one year she chose this one and even now all these years later we still remember how delicious it was. I think it’s about time to make it again.
